Strategic Scoping
Because of tight deadlines and other business constraints, it is diffcult to find the time upfront to lay the groundwork for a successful project.  At SMS, we know how important it is to understand your business objectives, as well as your project’s objectives, so we have developed a proprietary process that helps us quickly identify all that important information to ensure success.

We begin with an ISAP (Ideal State Action Plan) to help define project and business objectives across your entire organization—the customer, the end-users they serve, your team and the internal clients you serve. This plan is then use to create a complete creative brief which drives our entire process. It includes an understanding of your company, your customer’s needs and requirements, and what the actual deliverables are, in terms of brand, product(s) and service(s). And a lot of times, the process itself, which can take from 15 minutes to a couple of hours, does a lot to synchronize the efforts of your entire organization—or at least breed consensus.

Visualization
When we begin to visualize the solution, we take a collaborative approach, from concept sketching to 3D renderings. We begin with thumbnail sketches to get something visual you can react to—to help inform the concept with your understanding of the marketplace and your product. This saves money for our clients because you can throw out ideas that won’t work at the thumbnail phase before we invest further resources. Once thumbnail sketches are approved, we proceed to renderings.

Messaging
We help you define and refine your messaging so that it becomes a functional extension of your brand’s messaging platform and not just a rework of last year’s advertising campaign. That’s why it’s so important for us to take the time to understand your business upfront—to create solutions with on-target messaging that deliver on objectives.
