In 1999, Pam and Mark Zastrow began SMS to meet a need in the marketplace. Retailers were demanding service-driven fixtures and POP displays that met evolving requirements, while companies were looking for creative solutions that portrayed their brand essence to target markets.

For more than a decade, SMS has managed large-scale retail programs for leading brands such as Skechers, Schlage, Robert Bosch Tool Company, Hunter Fan, Vermont American, Aramark, Skil, Kwikset, Behr Paint, and Ferrera Pan Candy. SMS offers unique retail solutions that begin with strategic brand expression and expert engineering and proceed through display and fixture development, manufacturing, execution, and ongoing measurement for the full lifecycle of retail programs.

In 2008, SMS received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by The Women’s Business Development Center-Chicago.
